TaDa!

Don't you just love my new layout, I know I do!
Thanks to Allison at Addie Designs. Her button is here on my blog and I definitely recommend anyone who hasn't seen her stuff yet to go check her out. She's got some really great, unique ideas and everything is super cute. She'll also tweak your layout as many times as needed until it's just perfect (I was pretty picky and had a hard time deciding what I wanted).

On to other subjects. Cooking is a passion of mine. It's how I express that I care for others and it's a great way for me to relax. Maybe not so great for my hips, but that's a different story.
I want to share one of my favorite recipes each week, probably on Mondays.
So, tune in this upcoming Monday and you can learn how to make one of my favorite side dishes, Cheesy Gnocchi. It's like gourmet big-kid Mac and Cheese.

I'm hoping to get on the sewing machine today and try out an apron pattern that I've had for several months now. Then again, I spent an hour this morning trying to decipher the pattern instructions so we'll see how it all turns out.

Hope you all are having a great weekend!

T.G.I.F.

I'm at work this morning. I guess you can call it work because I get paid, but I don't really do anything except mess around online for the hours that I'm here. I work as a tutor at the college that I go to and, since it's still pretty early in the semester, no one really needs any help yet.

Every Friday I drive back to my parent's house which is a little more than an hour's drive from my apartment in the town where I go to school. My younger sister still lives at my parents' with her almost one year old little girl Bailey. Seriously, I can't go more than a week without seeing that baby! I swear everytime when I get back she looks like she's gotten chubbier, taller, and even cuter. Usually I spend my weekends taking care of her because I miss her so much during the week. This means that my weekends consist of 1:30 am singing and rocking her back to sleep, 4:30 am bottle time, and then up at 8 to get her some breakfast. She sleeps best when she's cuddled up in my bed instead of alone in her crib; and even though she only weighs 25lbs, she's THE biggest bed hog.
Honestly though, by the time Sunday rolls around and it's time to head back to my house, I'm more than ready for a good night's sleep.

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend, I'll be having fun getting some smooches and hugs from my little niece!

And the Water Feels Fine!

That's right, I'm no longer just dipping my toe into the world of blogging . I'm officially jumping in, head first, and am leaving my own little mark on the blogosphere. I reiterate the word 'little' as I'm honestly apprehensive about putting it all out there, I'm just not sure I have much to say that's all that interesting. Anyway, I love reading about your lives on here and feel like I should put a little bit about myself out there as well.
Please excuse the mess, as I'm a newbie and am definitely learning the ropes. I welcome any and all advice or tips for all the technical stuff.
